Thursday already! Hoping the rain clears out, but here are a few ways to enjoy this summer weekend regardless…
Two Art Openings: Another big night for openings downtown - Mountain Gallery will have an opening reception for Perspectives: Camera and Brush featuring the work of Ann and Gary Larsen on Friday from 6-8pm, and LARAC will host a reception for the opening of Eyes Wide Open from 5-7pm.
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee: The latest show at The Wood Theater features an eclectic group of six mid-pubescents competing for the spelling championship of a lifetime, all while candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives. Get tickets here!
What Came Before: Not this weekend, but mark your calendar for What Came Before? on Wednesday 8/25 at The Chapman Museum - Bob Bayle and Andrea Matte will share some of their favorite “Now & Then” stories about places in Glens Falls and Queensbury. It’s always fun to see photos of the city from back in the day. Details here.
A Movie Under the Stars: What’s better than a Friday night movie in City Park? This week they’re showing The Karate Kid at dusk. Bring the kiddos and a picnic blanket! Details here!
