Hi! How’s your week been? We’ve been on the road for most of it, so we’re looking forward to a leisurely weekend - a trip to the Farmer’s Market, a couple of drinks on the back porch, and a stroll downtown (where it looks like there will be a lot going on)! Here’s the scoop:
GEM Fest (short for Glens Falls Entertainment & Music Festival) kicks off Friday night and lasts through late Saturday evening. Looks like there’s a ton going on - live music, live comedy, live artists, a film festival, theatrical shorts, and more. Glen Street will be closed on Saturday for performances on stage as well as a vendor fair - can’t wait to check it out! Get the schedule and all the details here.
Sounds like City Park will be the place to be for families on Saturday! A bounce house, music for the kiddos, arts and crafts, and more. And they’ve combined it with Chalk Fest, so we’re looking forward to strolling through and seeing the artwork created on the sidewalks around the park. Get the info here!
We’ve loved seeing some more specialty events popping up from Lake George Steamboat Company over the last few years (like Rock the Dock), and this series looks like fun - Minne Rock the Dock! This Saturday it features a cruise on the Minne Ha Ha with live music from The Refrigerators - grab tickets here.
