Happy weekend! Hope you’re enjoying the amazing weather this week. We’re sharing a few ideas for the weekend, including St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, a food festival, where to go out for ice cream, basketball downtown, and more…
Winter Meltdown Spicy Food Festival: The snow has melted and things are heating up at The Shirt Factory with their Winter Meltdown Spicy Food Festival this Saturday from 11am-5pm. Local vendors and food trucks will be showcasing their bold flavors, and it seems like a perfect way to spend an almost spring day - details here!
Ice Cream is Back: Another perfect way to spend an almost spring weekend? Ice cream! Martha’s opens on Saturday at 11am and we can’t wait to get in line for a taste of summer - details here!
St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations: If you’re lucky enough to be Irish, you’re lucky enough! Celebrate on Saturday night at Morgan & Co with a perfectly poured pint of Guinness, an extensive range of drinks, delicious traditional Irish fare, Irish music from The Hudson River Ceili Band, and more - details on that here! Also on Saturday night, The Park Theater Foundation presents a St. Patrick's Day Dinner and Show, featuring a special performance by Celtic duo, Rakish, and an Irish-inspired 3-course prix fixe menu - find those details here.
Basketball Weekend: It’s Basketball Weekend in Glens Falls with the New York State Basketball Championships starting today at the Cool Insuring Arena (and the Glens Falls game on Friday at 9am!). And if you’re not at the arena, Fenimore’s Pub at The Q will be live-streaming the games all weekend (and they’ll also be opening early on Friday at 11am following the Glens Falls game!). Find the game schedule here.
Maple Season: ‘Tis the season! The sap is flowing and sweet treats abound at some of our favorite sugar shacks. We shared a list of four of our favorites to visit here, and this also happens to be the second weekend of Thurman Maple Days which runs through March - check out more on all ten sites of that tour here!
Have a great weekend!
